City of Industry, Ca. - April 16, 2007 - Xtore, a worldwide leading storage solution provider,
introduces XD 2000 series SAS RAID enclosures with on-chip RAID 50i (RAID 50 Interleave)
architecture that outperforms conventional SAS RAID enclosures in the market today.
"The traditional way of managing RAID system using RAID 5 and RAID 50 has stretched to its limit
due to the emergence of large capacity configurations from applications incorporated with a mixture of
Enterprise, Near-line, and Desktop drives'" stated Dave Reinsel, Director of Storage Research at IDC.
"Xtore XD 2000 series SAS RAID enclosures with on-chip RAID 50i architecture solves the problems
by providing the security of multi-drive fault tolerance without the overhead and performance penalties
of RAID 6 platform."
Xtore XD 2000 series SAS RAID enclosures deliver different interconnect options for a wide range of
storage applications. The unique XD 2000 provides Dual Active Controller Blades. Each blade
supports both dual 4Gb Fibre Channel or SAS 4x Host channels and SAS 4x Capacity Expansion for
high scalability. Its advanced web GUI management allows users to easily maintain the configurations and usage log/report. The cable-less
design and hot-swapping features allows ease of
management and maximum reliability. OEM customers can benefit from Xtore's superior engineering
capability in delivering custom designed RAID controller and firmware.
